HI everyone!

My name is Renee' and I am Founder of a new company called Exercise Party.

All my life I knew I had been called to do something to help change this world.  At 40 years old, God tugged at my heart and breathed life and a mission into me.  A mission to help others take steps to becoming healthier;  through exercise and eating better.

Now it is 4 years later and this dream has finally become a reality.  To be honest, I'm not an expert in the Industry. Like I've heard from others, when God wants something to happen he goes beyond our wildest dreams. He has opened the doors and brought experts in the Personal Training Industry, Physical Therapy, Eating Disorders Specialist and a Medical Doctor to my husband and I.  People who have a heart for us and our loved ones.  Those who are willing to share their expertise with Exercise Party and our guests.

I am looking for individuals who have a love for others and believe that we are indeed the "keepers of health" for our families and the generations to come.

Check out my website....www.exerciseparty.com.

I'd love to chat with you.

Blessings.

Renee'

Hi,

i too have been trying to lose the "baby fat" I gained while pregnant, 20 and 17 years ago!  I'm 5'9" and 222 right now.  High blood pressure, cholesterol, achy feet are my worries.  I've tried many programs but they are temporary.  Since summer came I have been hiking and walking.  Going to get the bike out today and maybe do some yoga.  My issue is food, love it, hate it!  I try to remember the bible saying that "all things are permissible, but not all things are beneficial.  All things are permissible, but not all things are constructive. 1Cor 10:23.  It's hard to remember that when there is a brownie with ice cream in front of me but I'm trying.

Beth Moore has a good book called "Praying God's Word, breaking free from spiritual strongholds" that may help you.

I'm going to go to the fresh fruit and veggie market today, what about you?

Michele

Hi Fellow dieters;

I am 47 years old, married, and have struggled with my weight forever.  I've always been heavy, but I am currently up to 225 pounds, and I am 5'7.  My knees hurt, I get winded doing anything, and I am tired of it.

I have prayed, like you, I have tried all the diets, and it goes no where.  Help!!!

I am Cronic Epstien Barr positive, and have several other illnessed, RA, CFIDS, Fibro, Thyroid.  I take a lot of midcation, and I really am trying to lose.  I was a size 8 when I got married some 18 years ago.  I don't necessarily want to get that thin again, but I sue would be happy to see a size 14 or 12.

I don't know how you guys work.  Do you all meet once a week on line?  Or is this just more about checking in and seeing if you have heard anything?  I really appreciate have fellowship with Christians that know where I am coming from.

God Bless,

Boxermom

Hi everyone!  I'm new to this group and have tried all kinds of diets (Weight Watchers, South Beach Diet, Adkins, Isagenix, etc.) over the past 10 years.  I just can't seem to stick with one.  Some I lose a couple of pounds then stop losing and others I lose no weight.  I work out 30 minutes of cardio a week and do weights twice a week.  I also walk my dogs everyday and don't really eat alot of food.  I seem to fill up quickly after a few bites.  I'd love to find something that really works for me in losing weight, having more energy and that lasts.  Any advice is greatly appreciated.  God Bless ya'll.

To CarolynJolene: I just wanted to let you know that I hope things get better for you. I am a fitness professional and would like to get you some tips... since you've reached a plateau, you should change the variety of your workouts, since you're doing 1 hr a day, if you are doing the treadmill for example, I would increase the speed a little and/or the incline of the treadmill. Do this for a couple weeks and increase the time as well. I would eventually add in another day of cardio as well as some weights. Doing both cardio and weights will help you out a great deal. Just start out small with weights and gradually increase as you get used to it. I hope this helps and feel free to ask me questions! Good luck and God Bless! RIC

Hi, I'm really new!  For about six months, I was part of a diet and exercise group that was really heavy in cult activities.  As a former witch, this was pulling me further and further away for my L-rd.  My husband ended up blocking that site so that I couldn't get into it anymore.  It's been a little over three months since I went running back to my L-rd.  Now that my spiritual life is back on track (with His help and guidance), it's time to get back on track with my weight issues that I've had all of my life.  Thanks for listening. Hi, I'm new to groups on the computer, but I am looking for some support as I try to lose the last 25 lbs of 50 that I am required to lose for my health. They have discovered that I have a liver problem and are in the process of determining just how bad it is.  Any suggestions would be helpful.  Right now I stick to about 1200 calories a day and no junk food of any kind, but I have reached a plateau at 150 and can't seem to lose any more.  I do exercise about 1 hour a day also.  Merry Christmas to all.

Hi, there. I'm not a diabetic, or anything (no offense) but I am afraid that I will get a weight problem, and don't know how to fix it. I try to work out, but I get tired--I try eating healthy foods, but I can't resist the fatttening junk foods....does anyone have a simple fast diet that can lose you about 5 or 6 pounds??? Any information would be helpful. RIC

Hi, My name is mary, and i have insulin resistance, which is pre-diabetes, which if left untreated will lead to type two diabetes. Because of my health condition, i gained weight, even when i was dieting and excercising. well, recently, i went through a weight loss class at my local Curves for women facility, and have lost almost twenty pounds in about eight or nin weeks. The program, specifically designed for a woman's metabolism (sorry to all u guys) really truly works. the first week, you eat twelve hundred calories, 100 or less carbs, as much protein as u can, and about 30 fats in every day. the second week, you boost it up to 1600 cals, 120 carbs, roughly 160-170 proteins, and 45 fats daily. you continue the 'week two' also known as phase two until you reach a plateu (if that is how it is spelled). when you hit a plateu, you go to phase three, on which you eat 200 to 2500 calories daily, eating healthy food (it is okay to eat a LITTLE ice cream if it's low fat etc.) and there is not an exact set limit of carbs, just not a ton or anything. also about the same protein. once you gain three pounds back, go a few days on week or phase one, then go to phase two again, until u hit another plateu. u continuethis process til you reach your goal weight. it really works!! T-Bone, I have two recommendations for you. And this is from personal experience. 1. Get an accountability partner. I would recommend a free online Christian website (www.SettingCaptivesFree.com) with a program designed for overeaters called The Lord's Table. Each participant is given a daily bible lesson in proper focus, disciplined eating, and accountability. Your mentor is someone who has completed TLT Phase 1, Phase 2, and Phase 3. Phase 1 is all I would recommend. It's a 60-day program to help you begin to focus on Jesus Christ as the source of your fulfillment and contentment. This program has helped me learn to turn to Christ for comfort and satisfaction instead of food. 2. Read the Bible, spend personal quality time with God, undergirded by a renewed time of prayer for others. When I completed the program above my weight was the same as it was when I entered. However, in the 6 weeks since then, I have returned to eating regularly (though not with the desire to fill an empty space with food), and have lost 3 inches. No diet change, no exercise, no discipline. The difference is in the heart. I spend more time in prayer, interceding for those with problems greater than my weight issue. The entire Bible is a prime example of getting what you give. So if you want God to give you special attention in the area of physical weight loss, then dedicate your life to giving to others. The weight loss will become a side bar of little significance. RIC

I have recently had Gastric Bypass this last February 22nd. It was the best decision I have made in my life besides devoting my heart to Jesus. I have just been approved to begin working out. I just started this last Monday. Sense the 22nd of feb I have lost 60+ pounds. Its a huge lifestyle change and I have been forced to look inside myself as to why and how I got obese. Allot of people feel like I took a giant short cut to lose weight and that's fine by me. But it has to start inside in your heart first. RIC
