Group Description

Hey all how are you? Im good, I was just wondering. Who loves to write? I love to write letters, stories, poems, etc.. Writing is fun and very good. This is my 1st time creating a group lol xD I just hope it is ok. Here is a weird kind of poem thingy. Poor Sally Poor old Sally never could drive Since she was only thought to be five Sally could never even date because she would always show up late Sally once had happy dreams But all her dreams are about dead sport teams Sally has only been on a plane one time After that time, she lost her lucky dime Once she had a dog But one day her dog got lost in the fog Sally also use to have a cat But after thanksgiving dinner a bat came for the cat Sally's poor cat was taken from a bat A bat that loved eatting cats Sally's own family drowned in the ocean, not to long ago Poor old Sally had to go, she was taken in by her aunt, that does crazy shows One night poor old Sally was left alone again As the fire began, poor, poor old Sally on her own as many times before As she took a detour which really wasn't and poor old Sally fell into a deep hole And now she's not alone, as she climbs up the pole She sees faces looking down Apon her, she wonders if she's in heaven As she climbs to the top of the pole, she sees two sevens How could it be that she's that old? I guess she was never told Poor old sally has lost her mind and she's been like that for quite sometime As a bright light appears She sees cutting shears She screams and wakes up "Wow." She said as she looks at her cup "What a messed up dream." A dream that makes you scream, a dream that has never been seen Poor Sally is only a teen As she gets up, she laughs her head off As a monkey coughs Poor Sally is now dead So the monkey takes her head And uses it as a pillow As a cry comes from a williow -CasseyB. Hey, I'm new to this site altogether, but looking to make connections with people.  I have never written "professionally" - but I'm asked to write a lot at work "because of my skill and talent" and I've managed and written our church newsletter for women for several months.  Over the past year, I feel God's urging to write - but have not identified the path I am to follow.

I am really new here....but I would like to join this group. You know something, you don't have to be a great writer to write. Before a major spinal operation of mine I asked the Lord "What will You have me do?" And He said"Write a book." I was astounded and said "I'm not a writer, I am only a Kindergarten teacher." And pat came the reply "Write a book." This was way back in 1984..

I have had 3 prints of my book "Crushed for Fragrance"done in India and now in Nov. 2007 it has been published again with Xulon Press in the states. Someone asked about Self-publication you can contact Xulon Publishers.

Hi! I am new here, and would like to make friends with those who LOVE to write. I am working right now on stories that I would like to make into a book. It tells the stories of four women, all from the same family, who's husband's go off to war. It spans from W.W. I to the Iraq War. Here is a poem I wrote about my grandma. Sixty Years- Her hair was once rich brown Her eyes once sparkling and alive Now she sits, waiting for the end Memories, in her mind Of the young man she loved Blond, carefree, the bluest of eyes Sixty years have come and gone She carried another man's name and children But no matter how she lived her life Burried loved ones Made the meals, washed the dishes Raised the kids, and the next generation She knows he waits for her The handsome face. the boyish grin Teenage wedding Teenage funeral Sixty years pass But the light in her eyes for him Never does Let me know what ypu all think! Here is a poem that I wrote when I was inspired by an old Christian rock song. It's called "Beautiful Music": Beautiful music was playing on planet earth. Until one day, the music morphed into an unharmonious, caotic noise. Then, The Song Writer came to put an end to the noisy, caotic music. Beautiful music was playing on planet earth once again. Hi there! I'm new here, and I'm trying to make some new friends. Oh right, this topic is about writing. I love to write, it's very fun. Sometimes it can be hard-like this paper I have to write for school, it's about how we like it and how we like our friends and what we do and stuff. Believe it or not, I'm very excited about writing this paper. Anyways, I have always wanted to write my own songs, but I don't really play an instrument--so it's hard to really have a song. I'm not really big on writing poems, but I still write some. Well, that's about all!! RIC

Here is one I posted on my blog at the end of January. It's called The Future Full of Hopes and Dreams. I look to the future full of hopes and dreams. I set my course like a captain ready to set sail on the open seas. I think to myself, "Yes, I can do this." As I began to live my dream, it seemed like bliss. At the first sign of trouble, I still stayed strong. Then more later than sooner, I had second thoughts: "Was I wrong?" Now, the future seems a little more bleak. My dream is fading quick and after a gallant fight, I feel a little weak. Then, my First Love steered my life in a different direction. Over rough seas that would warrant His protection. I look to the future full of hopes and dreams. My First Love sets my course like a captain ready to set sail on the open seas. I think to myself, "Yes, by His grace, I can do this." To be with Him would be bliss. I know I am going in a way for me that is right. I know I am going in a way of a future bright. RIC
