Verses for Standing

Lord, I pray that you will place a hedge of thorn bushes to block _______'s path, wall them in with fire so they can't find their way. Even though they may chase after lovers, they will not catch them, they may look for them, but not find them. Then they will say, "I am going back to my husband/wife as at first, for then I was better off than now." Hosea 2:6-7

(This is one of the first verses I learned I could pray over my beloved. I had never heard you could actually pray verses with people's names in them, my prayers are so much more powerful now, and when I run out of words, I just pray THE WORD.

So Lord, make us a family again, be the one King over us and let us no longer be divided into two households. Let __________ no longer defile themselves with idols, vile images or with any of their offenses, for even now You are saving them and cleansing them from all their sinful backsliding, because they are your child and you are their God. Ez. 37:22,23

(I pray verses for my family, and this is one of them, so it is not quite exact from the Bible, which is why I put the reference.)

Lord I pray that YOu will sprinkle clean water on______ and they will be clean, You will cleanse them from all their impurities and from all their idols. Give them a new heart and put a new spirit in them; remove from them their heart of stone and replace it with a new heart of flesh. Then everyone around us will see that You the Lord have rebuilt what was destroyed, and replanted where it was desolute. You the Lord have spoken and it is DONE. Ez. 36:25, 26, 36.
