Group Description

I don't know about you, but I'm sick of hearing all of the trashy, typical office gossip! If you are looking for uplifting and encouraging conversation with a network of Christian women, then this is the "chat" room for you! Having a bad day? Having a great day? Either way, share your world here. We're here to support each other, to encourage each other through thick and thin, and of course, we're here to uphold each other in our walk with Christ. And in this chat room, we won't talk trash about you when you're not around...no trash talk allowed! :) Everyone is welcome here--Share your thoughts with us today! Romans 1:12, "that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other's faith." RIC

Hi Christy N.

Thank you for your response to my prayer request for my husband and me.  It is really hard learning about our Lord and loving him "out loud" when your husband is not a believer.  I am having difficulty being kind to him when he criticizes me and my beliefs.  Any suggesions (anyone!!).  I pray, Christy, that God gives you direction on where you are to serve him.

God bless you all today.

 Your sister in Jesus,

 Kelly

Thanks ladies for your responses.  I am so glad to know that there are others who have met challenges in their lives such as mine.  It is truly encouraging.  It's great to have others to chat with who understand first hand.  It seems so hard to find truly christian friends.  So many ladies that I know cannot begin to understand.  They would prefer to spend their time together in clubs rather than talking about the Lord, their families and enjoying each other through bible study.  I realize that I am the minority, but thats ok with me. I know where I will spend eternity......

Thanks so much for your prayers and encouragement. It is truly appreciated.

I too am praying for each of you and your needs and challenges.

In Christ,

Floridagal

Hi, I'm brand new to chat rooms and blogs and anything like that.  I work on a computer at work all the time, but I'm not very good at getting around on the web.  I am looking forward to talking with all of you.  Kelly, I read your posting and welcome to the family of God. The Christian life is awesome, not without it's hardships, but I feel truely blessed to be a part of it.  I will be praying for your husband and his salvation.

I have been a Christian for many years, but have not always lived the way God has wanted me to.  Recently, I thought I knew the direction that God was leading me, but those doors have shut.  Please pray for what I'm suppose to do next.  I know that God has a ministry for me and I so much want to work with women.

I do have a passion for the mentally ill and work in a long term psychiatric hospital as a social worker, but feel God calling me to something else.

I look forward to talking with all of you again.

I would put a picture, but I don't know how to do that.

In Him, Christy

Hi ladies, I heard a great sermon at church this morning & wanted to pass along some of the highlights. We started a new series entitled "Impact: Lives, Community, World". We are getting ready to not only go into a new building project at church but also to relocate everything 2-3 blocks down the road from our current location so this series is talking about some of the things Pastor wants to communicate with us to keep our focus on why we are really doing this. Our sermon was from Mark 6:30-44-feeding of the 5,000. He said that quite often when God is about todo something amazing He brings us to a place where we hesitate first & maybe even question if He knows what He is doing. We have to admit we have a need & that need is for God to show up because resourcefully this is IMPOSSIBLE to do on my own. When we get to the place we say "God it is impossible" that is when God really wants to show up. God can use 1 to make a difference. He said that the hero of this story is the little boy. He said you can't tell me that 15-20,000 people went on a day's journey & no one had anything to eat. But the little boy was the one willing to give what he had. When God shows up am I willing to give Him what I do have even if I think it isn't much? Then when God does do something big we are amazed at the results because we know that humanly it was impossilbe.  It reminded me of a Nicole C. Mullen song "Broken & Blessed" that I have been listening to recently. If you have a chance to listen to that song really pay attention to the words. Hope you have a great Sunday. RIC

Hello.  My name is Kelly and I am new to this group and chat groups in particular.  I am a new believer.  I accepted Christ as my savior in April of this year.  What a wonderful change in my life.  I love the lord and I am spending a lot of time praying, reading God's word and reading books on the Christian life.  Please keep me in your prayers that I grow strong in Christ.  Please pray for my husband.  He is not a believer.  He is actually an athiest.  He is floored by my belief in Jesus.  This is and has been a hard walk alone.  I have been praying that God draw my husband close and that my husband realizes his need for forgiveness and God's grace.

I look forward to meeting many new sisters in Christ.

Kelly

LBG, I know what you mean about the whole tv and kids thing.  I wish you could lock out the commercials as well. Some of them are as bad as the shows! RIC

Kathy, I will be praying for you. I will be praying for the doctors. They have a tough job trying to figure out what is wrong with us sometimes. It is no way to live. I pray that He will put His arms around you & give you a great big hug as you go through this frustrating time. Keep us posted on what you find out. RIC

I love working on the computer and I put together a powerpoint with the names of God.  I couldn't load up the powerpoint, but I could load up the pictures.  Anyone is welcome to to take a look.  They're on my profile. They help me remember that God is everything that I could possibly need.  Hope they are a blessing to you!!!  RIC

Hello! Hope everyone had a nice holiday weekend.  Kathy, I'll be praying for you!  Cashmere welcome.  I'm pretty new to the whole chat room thing too, but this is a nice site.  I've met lots of new christian friends here.

I have a question.  Has anyone that has cable, stopped to look at the new channel called NOG?  Its noggin for older kids.  I was watching t.v. and a show went off.  The show was o.k., but the vidoes that they show in between the shows were HORRIBLE.  I was shocked.  I have parental locks on my t.v. set for just G and I guess because the videos are like commercials they dont get filtered out.  I just locked the whole channel.  That just threw me for a loop.  smiley-surprised

Hi Everyone!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday weekend! I need prayers, this coming Friday my husband and I will be going to see a endocrinologist for me, I have been suffering with some sort of hormone imbalance for the past 4 years, I have had a hysterectomy 1 year ago and we thought that would fix it, it did fix the (Cervical Cancer). I have prayed about this more then any other prayer and ask god why he hasn’t healed me and I know I just have to wait patiently for his healing, although going through this every 2 weeks of the month is horrible, on my family and on me, we put me in the bedroom for the 4 worst days ! I become extremely fatigued , irritable socially withdrawal and have no appetite .This is know way to live. Please pray that they find the answers.

Thank you all,

Kathy
