I am the author of a new book (coming in March from Zondervan) called MySpace for Moms and Dads. I am creating places on popular social networking web sites where readers of my book can learn more and try out some of what I present there. Since MeetFish does not have a blog option yet, I will use this group to post information that may be of help to parents of teens interested in social networking, whether MySpace or MeetFish. This first post is an interview presented to me by a teenager in our church. She's asking good questions, so I thought the answers might be of use until the book comes out in March. RIC

I am always interested in what Moms and Dads are saying about their teenagers.
I have a ministry titled Treasured Celebrations Ministries. It provides a biblically based rite-of-passage for teenage girls and their parents.

Hi there! Well I was looking to see if anyone had a group for moms and dads and had to hop on board for this one! I'll be looking forward to your blogs. Congratulations Cloth on becoming a new dad! You are correct in the adventure part... but what a blessing. We only have one for now and she is far from being a teen but being two and 14 are simalar in a lot of ways! There are a lot of tests... lol. We thank God for her everyday. RIC

I am becoming a new dad this fall , I can wait for them to grow up but it will be nice have I bigger family then just me and my wife. we have a love of fun, just hanging out. but now it will be a different knid of life long adventer RIC

That's partially why I'm here...just trying to keep up with the times. I work in IT Support, but don't really get into the "popular" side of computers much. Go figure. :) RIC

I think it is good that moms and dads are monitoring myspace becaues a lot of kids really get out of control when they display really personal stuff on there. RIC
