Kellyann,

I found I had go slowly through Way of Agape, because I wanted to live what Nancy was teaching and not just transfer info to my brain. You find your own way. You very well may decide this is an owner. Nancy's website is Kings Highway. You can purchase them and the study guides on there, probably Amazon or something too. I found it extremely critical that I use the study guide to more fully process the teaching and really apply. As I said it has changed my life, my relationship with God and as a by-product I am still married miraculously with a new marriage in many ways, after 18 years. I noticed a 'friend request' from you, but new to this site and can't figure out  how to accept that request. I wish you God's grace and miraculous  power.

Kellyann,

I would encourage you and anyone to read, digest, and live out the truths in a book called Way of Agape by Nancy Missler. It changed my life. Learn how to position yourself to be a cleansed clean vessel for God's Spirit to breathe His life from you to everyone, particularly your calling to your  husband. He alone knows what your husband needs, when he needs it. He needs Jesus. You can live the life of Jesus in front of him. That your husband would see, feel, hear Jesus when he is around you. It is possible, and it's His power that will win his heart. And make you beautiful to him as well, what a bonus!

Welcome KellyAnn, My husband wasn't a Christian for most of our marriage & that along with other issues made it very difficult to be faithful to God. I can't imagine having a husband who is also an athiest. You definitely have to be feeling torn. I found it sooooo difficult to follow & after a while even believe 1 Peter 3:1-5 1If you are a wife, you must put your husband first. Even if he opposes our message, you will win him over by what you do. No one else will have to say anything to him, 2because he will see how you honor God and live a pure life. 3Don't depend on things like fancy hairdos or gold jewelry or expensive clothes to make you look beautiful. 4Be beautiful in your heart by being gentle and quiet. This kind of beauty will last, and God considers it very special. 5Long ago those women who worshiped God and put their hope in him made themselves beautiful by putting their husbands first."

But I have been learning that God is faithful even in the frustrating, discouraging, confusing times. I will be praying for you. I will be praying for your husband's salvation. If you ever need to "talk" feel free to give me a shout.

I would like to join in this discussion as well.  I desire to place God before anyone and anything.  I struggle with this.  I am trying so hard to please my husband.  He is an athiest and he is not pleased with my new found faith in Jesus.  I accepted Christ as my savior in April of this year.  I am feeling a tug of war sensation.  I want to please my husband but I need to remain loyal to God and follow his will for my life.

WOW we all need encouragement in this. I am finally learning how much God loves me & that His love NEVER fails or leaves me even though the love of my husband will fail. I am learning to love God first & then I will be able to love my husband. RIC

Hi

I looovvee the idea of this group! I need to join!! I'm not yet married, but I may do so next year. However, I have seen a pattern in my life where relationships are concerned, and that it..how to always - not sometimes, not down times - but always KEEP GOD FIRST! I somehow find myself shifting God's position and placing him below - just, but below nevertheless - my relationship. I recognize that that is not how i want to live my life and that I cherish true intimace with my God. So...I am seeking likeminded women who have done it, are doing it and know how to help me me do this - PUT GOD FIRST always....and let him guide this relationship & God's willing - marriage.

 Thank youemotions
