Two great places on the web where you can learn about building websites:

- W3Schools (FREE)- Lynda.com ($25/month)

I used Coda for about a month, and have to say I was very impressed.  Check it out if you're looking for a light alternative to Dreamweaver. RIC

Anybody working with CSS on a Mac should really check out CSS Edit

This is a really late response, sorry. Dreamweaver is a good editor, but it cost a lot. As you progress, I think you'll find yourself spending more time in the code editor, and Dreamweaver tends to be a little heavy for just a code editor. For Mac I find TextMate to be the best, for Windows I use a new project called InType. RIC
