Hello all,

I'm 31 years old and work in a local civil service in Ga.  I'm currently a 911 operator for the police and fire departments.  I also am training as an EMT/Paramedic.

I recently have been involved in talking with other Christian women who have found themselves dealing with a divorce or an abusive marriage.  I have experienced both and have found comfort in several scriptures.

I hope all is well and that you are blessed in the Lord's great love.

Hello everyone.

I am 26 years old and have lived all over. I was only saved 5 years ago and make a continual commitment to the Lord. I am hoping to get more involved in women's ministries, and joined this network for fellowship and ideas.

My passion is for the military. I adopt deployed soldiers to take care of their needs, and have made several good friends through the process. The Lord has really blessed me in that area!

I hope all of you are enjoying your day, and I would love to hear from some of you!! Don't be strangers smiley-wink

Hi Everyone; I'm just checking you all out.  My name is Tammy.  I am a military spouse of an army bandsman.  I homeschool 4 kids.  I am a bible study leader and will be doing programs for our local Protestant Woman of the Chapel on our military post.  Serving Christ is an on purpose moment by moment thing.  I live to bring Glory to the Father.  I'm interested in finding a down time for myself and this is a simple way of doing it, while encouraging and gaining Godly insight.  I'm looking forward to seeing what God has in store for this group and what I'm to learn from it.

Blessings to you all.

Hi Everyone;

I'm sorry to say I haven't checked these posts since my first comment. So I'm late saying "thanks Annielyn, for the encouraging words."

And Kathryn, if you're "listening" I wanted to encourage you that your friendship and support can be much appreciated by some married women as well as single. I know that I benefit from knowing single women because being an "empty-nester" I have plenty of time that I can spend away from family. My husband and I get lots of time together, but there are many times I want to spend with just women, and my friends with children aren't able to spend that kind of quality time because the children are alway interrupting and it's hard to have conversations, etc. Just wanted to interject that for thought.

Ladies; I can see that I'm not the only one having trouble getting back to this page to check responses and meet the newcomers. Anyone got any ideas on how to make it easier to comunicate with each other?

Nena

Hello, my name is Jenn and I love Women's Ministry!  The church I go to only has about 30 women but we try to do things with them once a month at least.  I would say that because of this we have a close knit family of ladies.  I'm so glad to be here!  I am 29 yrs old, married and have two little boys.  I am in the leadership of women's ministries at my church and last year God help me to hold a ladies conference along with the other women of my church. With their help and support it was a great time!  Let me encourage you to speak up if you have an idea.  Many times we get scared to speak up and say an idea we have and it gets put off.  I would love to share some ideas and glean some ideas.  My husband is looking to pastor a church one day so I will definatly have to have ideas for our women's ministry then. Just wanted tomention Sanctity of Human Life is Sunday Jan 20th. Many crisis pregnancy centers will have open houses and may need volunteers!

If you are in San Diego CA stop by CAPS.

For those wanting to work with orphanages check out Amor Ministries or Corazon de Vida. Again, both in SoCal but they do incredible work.

Have a blessed day and enjoy the people around you!

Hi ladies!

I am new to this online group and am so glad I found you.  I am in my mid-30's and am searching for a way to express my faith through service.  One of my passions is the pro-life movement, and would love to find a way to get positively involved.  I am also interested in helping orphans somehow, but with action rather than just cash.  Both are important, but I am really feeling God nudging me towards action in some way.  I need to do this for others, and I also want to be a better example of faith in action for my family.  Our church doesn't seem to need a seemingly nobody like me with little money to throw at their ministries.  So I guess I also need to be needed.

Thanks for listening.  I would love to hear any suggestions you have.

God Bless.

Happy New Year everyone!

I'm looking forward to a great year in 2008 and seeing the unique ways that God has planned for each of us to serve Him.

Anyone come up with any resolutions that will support them in their service this year?

I look forward to hearing what everyone has come up with. My personal resolution is to ask myself each day this question:

"What are my opportunities today to grow more into the person God created me to be?"

This question will help me focus on using my time in ways to glorify God that are unique to my purpose and design.

Here's to living life on purpose in 2008!

Judy

I need some advice.  Christmas is here and in a few days, I'll be visiting with his parents.  His father is sweet, but his mother is..not a nice person.  She is a Christian, but a lot of the times, doesn't act like it.  I could read you a laundry list of the things she has done to us, but suffice it to say, it has been rough.  I don't want to see her and wish I could just send my husband and I could stay home, but I know that would cause a major blow up and she would be on the war path.  I was hoping that she would mellow out as the years progressed, but that hasn't happened.  She has a vicious tongue that has ripped our family apart, but no one will say anything because of what would happen afterwards.  I know there is probably no real clear cut answers to this, but at least I have laid it out for you all to comment as I can't really share this with anyone I know. Hello Women who Serve!

I am new to the group and wanted to introduce myself. I am from Michigan and am a part of a Church Plant there. My husband is a Youth Pastor at the church. I serve in several areas, including the Discipleship Team, Hospitality and Women's Ministry.

My passion is to work with women and to help them discover who God created them to be and to live that life with excellence. I love to help women grow in thier Spiritual Walk with God and to discover how their gifts, personality, abilities, experience and education fit together in their own unique purpose.

I work as a Therapist part time and I also am a Certified Life Purpose Coach. You can learn more about me at my website www.turnbullcoaching.com.

I am excited to be a part of this group and to encourage each other as we serve God through our unique purposes. I look forward to getting to know you all better.

~Judy

Greetings from North Texas. I am new to the group and wanted to introduce myself.  I am a divorcee and I am looking for a group of women who share my faith so I was happy to discover this chat group.

I attend a Bible Church in my area and recently went through leadership training for women. The 4-week class had great insight and I was all pumped up to use the training to minister to our singles group but I have lost my drive.

There really is no singles group to speak of, just a small group of 10 or so that meet and I have not connected with anyone in the group. There are no other outlets for singles over 30 ( I am 42).

I am also involved with a community volunteer group that is primarily run by christians of various denominations. Being single is a challeng in the this group but I am able to find fulfillment by servning as one of their project coordinators.

Thanks for the opportunity to post a comment.

~Kathryn

Hello Ladies:  It is such a pleasure and blessing to read your comments.  Thank you, D25--so encouraging to me.  And Nena, your comment touched my heart as you have a sincere desire to serve God.  As we all know, He only needs one, you, yielded to His Will, and He will open the doors for the ministry He has given us to be given to others.  I think one of the hardest disciplines for we Christians is to wait for God's timing.  Jesus said, "I give My Spirit to those who obey me."  With that, I know my obedience to waiting on Him and His guidance to take the next step is as important as any other obedience to His Word.  Nena, I would encourage you to let the peace of God be your guide. Since He knows the end from the beginning of all our lives, He will bring about His Word, "All things work together for good to those who love Him and are called . . . ."  For we who are eager to fellowship and serve, we can pray, then REST IN THE LORD; and in His time, everything He has planned for us will fall into place.  I'll be praying for you, dear one. -  Love in Jesus, Annielyn RIC
